I’m Melanie, a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in South Surrey, BC. My counselling approach is collaborative and respectful of your pace. We’ll look at what’s getting in the way, explore your history, gain insights and work toward a steadier, more connected version of you.

OCD Therapy
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is considered the gold standard treatment for OCD and can be highly effective in reducing the frequency and intensity of obsessions and compulsions.

CVAP Sessions
If you’ve been impacted by a crime in British Columbia, you may be eligible for fully funded counselling sessions through the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). These sessions support your emotional recovery and help you move forward at your own pace.

ICBC Sessions
If you’ve been in a motor vehicle accident in British Columbia, you may be eligible for counselling sessions funded by ICBC. These sessions can help you manage the emotional impact of the accident and support your recovery process.

A: The first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll ask a few questions to learn what’s bringing you in and what support might look like. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right. We will spend a few minutes disussing your goals and outline a plan to achieve them.

A: I work with clients weekly, typically for 6 months or more, until goals are achieved.

A: You don’t need to have a big crisis to start. Therapy is a place to sort through what’s been weighing on you, whether it’s overwhelming emotions, negative thoughts, relationship concerns, intrusive thoughts or life’s pressures. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, and you’ll have a say in what we focus on from the very first session.

Booking a consultation does not create a therapeutic relationship. Therapy begins only after mutual agreement and completion of consent forms.
Therapy is currently only available to residents located in British Columbia and several other provinces, in accordance with licensing regulations.
